AWH receives EcoVadis Silver Medal | 05-05-2026

Armaturenwerk Hötensleben GmbH has once again been recognized in the latest EcoVadis Sustainability Rating and has been awarded the Silver Medal. With an overall score of 74 out of 100, AWH ranks among the top 15% of all companies evaluated by EcoVadis.
EcoVadis evaluates companies’ sustainability performance across four key categories:

1.    Environment
2.    Labor and Human Rights
3.    Ethics
4.    Sustainable Procurement

 

AWH scored highly in all areas, with particularly high ratings in Ethics (80/100) and Environment (77/100).

Strong Performance in Environmental Management

With a score of 77 out of 100, AWH has achieved an above-average result in environmental management.
This is based on clearly defined environmental guidelines, clearly assigned responsibilities, and systematic management of energy, resources, emissions, and waste throughout the entire value chain.
Of particular note is our ISO 50001 certification in energy management. This standard confirms that AWH not only tracks energy consumption but also systematically analyzes, optimizes, and continuously improves it. For our customers, this means: stainless steel components “Made in Germany,” manufactured in a production process that consistently combines efficiency with resource conservation.

Responsibility for Labor and Human Rights

In the area of labor and human rights, AWH achieved 71 points. The rating underscores that issues such as fair working conditions, health and safety, equal treatment, and protection against discrimination are firmly anchored at AWH.
AWH pursues a holistic approach that protects, develops, and retains employees in the long term—with clear guidelines, active implementation, and a high level of awareness regarding responsibility toward the people within the company.

Corporate Ethics in Practice

With a score of 80 points, the Ethics category represents AWH’s strongest performance.
The assessment covered, among other things, guidelines and structures for preventing corruption, managing conflicts of interest, ensuring information security, and protecting sensitive data.
AWH has a robust, practical compliance system and a corporate culture in which integrity, transparency, and reliability play central roles.

Focus on Sustainable Procurement

In the Sustainable Procurement category, AWH scored 69 points. This confirms that sustainability does not end at the factory floor but also plays an important role in the supply chain.
AWH works with clear guidelines and defined requirements for suppliers to better integrate environmental and social aspects into procurement decisions. The goal is to gradually build a supply chain that combines quality, availability, and responsibility.
