Amendment DIN 11864/11853 | 06-19-2025
A new version of the two above-mentioned standards was published in 2024 and April 2025. The changes are minor and mainly concern the inner diameter and the designations (see attached excerpt from the standard). However, there are no changes to the gasket geometries, so the proven sterile and hygienic properties remain unchanged.
As AWH, we will implement these necessary adjustments step by step, among other things by adapting drawings and selling off stock. During the transition phase, you may therefore find different designations on the components.
All article numbers will remain unchanged, so no changes or adjustments will be necessary in your ERP system. In the sales texts, we will adapt some terms to the new standard language, for example “Bundstutzen” has now become “Nutstutzen” with the abbreviation “VN”.
We are doing everything we can to make the transition period as short as possible in order to quickly achieve a uniform standard again.

After a series of five international trade fairs, we are entering the final weeks of the year with a wealth of new impetus and plenty of input for the new year.
The Lounges in Karlsruhe gave the starting signal for the presentation of our new trade fair stand with its new design and digital highlights back in spring. Following on from this, the busy trade fair season began at the end of October. From Cibustec in Italy to Gulfood Manufacturing in Dubai, Prod&Pack in France and BrauBeviale in Nuremberg at the end of November, the trade fair for the entire beverage industry process chain.
As important international platforms, the trade fairs offered us the perfect opportunity to meet and network with customers, partners and interested parties.
